summertime and the livin's easy...well sort of

now that we are back at home in seal beach, charley is getting more accustomed to life with krissy and me. that's not to say that he is making life a walk in the park, but he is the most fabulous addition to our home that i can ever imagine. i always wondered what was going on in the middle of the night when most people are sound asleep in this town, and now i know! after hangin' out with the local owls and other nocturnal creatures in the area, we took charley on a walk down main street and made a few stops in some of the local shops today. as i suspected, he was a big hit with the people who got to see him in his stroller and of course, some of the other parents around here got a little jealous when they saw just how cute he is. here are a few of the photos we took of charley at home doing what he does best...being a handsome little man.

back home

after 4 very long days in the hospital, we are back home in seal beach with our new addition. let's see how much the neighbors like the sound of the loudest baby in the universe!

charley and the jaundice factory

charley and kristen both got a little sick with a fever yesterday and charley had to take it one step further and get a moderate case of jaundice. our room got a little more crowded with his new tanning salon, which he absolutely hates, but things are looking a lot better today. enjoy a picture of the most beautiful mother and son combo in the world and a few pics of charley in his tanning bed wearing some sweet shades!

the newest nelson has arrived!!!!

charley james nelson was finally born at 9:30pm on sunday june 22, 2008! kristen tried so hard for hours to push him out but he didn't want to leave his cozy environment, so he was born via c-section on sunday night. it's a good thing too because he was a big boy...8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long! kristen was a trooper the whole time and is recovering very well.

we are still at hoag hospital so the only pictures i am able to post at this point are the ones i took on my cell phone, but much better quality photos will be up soon. charley is becoming increasingly more photogenic every day so i promise there will be no shortage of extremely cute pictures very soon.

no new nelson yet...but we do have an update!

so our baby decided that it likes the womb better than the outside world so we will be going to the hospital tomorrow morning, june 22nd at 7am for labor to be induced. a little scary and nerve racking but very exciting!! hopefully our next post will include some pictures of the cutest baby in the world, aka the newest nelson.

it's now approximately 10:40pm on june 15, 2008 and still no new nelson! the day is not over yet though, so we will see...

it is 8:20pm on kristen's due date, june 14, 2008. still no baby yet but there are 3 hours and 40 minutes left in the day, so it's still not official. maybe i'll just get the best father's day present ever...we'll see. updates to follow soon!
